Newark's The Works offers up-close view of trucks at Dozers & Diggers

The Works: Ohio Center for History, Art & Technology will host Dozers & Diggers, a free community event, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Community members of all ages are invited to get an up-close view of big machines including forklifts, police cruisers, fire trucks, construction vehicles and more.

Children and families will get the opportunity to jump in, climb around and speak to professionals who operate the equipment every day. The event includes food trucks, live demonstrations and family activities. Outdoor exploration of Dozers & Diggers is free and open to the public. All guests are required to visit the check-in tent and receive a wristband for event access. Admission to the museum and indoor activities are available at a special event rate of $7 per person. No other discounts are applicable during this one-time special admission rate.
